Middle East War Poses Grave Threat to Global Peace
UN and major powers must act decisively for immediate ceasefire: Jamiat
New Delhi, March 2, 2026: The President of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, Maulana Mahmood Madani, on Monday expressed deep concern over the rapidly escalating situation in the Middle East, warning that continued military escalation could have far-reaching consequences for global peace and stability. He said that recent aggressive and provocative actions by the United States and Israel have significantly heightened tensions in the region and pushed it towards a dangerous phase.
Expressing grief over the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, his aides along with members of his family, Maulana Madani said that targeting the leadership of any sovereign country runs contrary to established international norms and treaties, and risks dragging the world towards greater instability. He said Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind stands in solidarity with the people of Iran in this moment of grief. At the same time, he also voiced concern over Iran’s actions in other countries of the region, stressing that the present circumstances demand restraint, dialogue, and collective efforts for peace.
Maulana Madani said that political and international disputes cannot be resolved through force or bloodshed, adding that military solutions only deepen hostility, fuel cycles of revenge, and result in humanitarian suffering. He urged the United Nations and the global community to play an active and effective role in securing an immediate ceasefire, de-escalation, and facilitating meaningful diplomatic engagement to prevent further destruction in the region.
Warning of wider repercussions, he said that unless global powers act with responsibility, fairness, and diplomatic wisdom, the fallout of the current crisis will extend well beyond the Middle East and threaten international stability.
Reiterating the organization’s position, Maulana Madani said Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind opposes any action that pushes humanity towards war and instability, and called for urgent efforts to resolve the crisis through dialogue and peaceful negotiations.

नई दिल्ली, 2 मार्च 2026: जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद के अध्यक्ष मौलाना महमूद असद मदनी ने मध्य पूर्व की अत्यंत विस्फोटक और चिंताजनक स्थिति पर गहरी चिंता और व्यथा व्यक्त करते हुए कहा है कि अमेरिका और इज़राइल की आक्रामक तथा उकसाने वाली कार्रवाइयों ने न केवल क्षेत्रीय शांति को गंभीर रूप से प्रभावित किया है, बल्कि वैश्विक स्थिरता को भी बड़े खतरे में डाल दिया है।
मौलाना मदनी ने ईरान के सर्वोच्च नेता आयतुल्ला अली खामेनेई तथा उनके परिजनों और सहयोगियों के निधन पर गहरा दुख और शोक व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि किसी देश की नेतृत्व व्यवस्था को निशाना बनाना अंतरराष्ट्रीय सिद्धांतों और समझौतों के विरुद्ध है और दुनिया को बर्बरता की ओर धकेलने के समान है। उन्होंने कहा कि जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद ईरान की जनता के दुख में बराबर की सहभागी है। साथ ही मौलाना मदनी ने ईरान की ओर से क्षेत्र के अन्य देशों में की जा रही कार्रवाइयों पर भी चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि वर्तमान परिस्थिति शांति, एकता और आपसी समन्वय की तत्काल मांग करती है।
मौलाना मदनी ने स्पष्ट किया कि किसी भी राजनीतिक या अंतरराष्ट्रीय विवाद का समाधान हत्या और रक्तपात से नहीं हो सकता। शक्ति के बल पर अपनी बात मनवाने की कोशिशें केवल घृणा, प्रतिशोध और मानवीय त्रासदियों को जन्म देती हैं। उन्होंने संयुक्त राष्ट्र और अंतरराष्ट्रीय समुदाय से अपील की कि वे तत्काल युद्धविराम, तनाव में कमी और सार्थक कूटनीतिक वार्ता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए सक्रिय और प्रभावी भूमिका निभाएँ, ताकि क्षेत्र को और अधिक विनाश से बचाया जा सके। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि यदि विश्व शक्तियों ने समय रहते बुद्धिमत्ता, न्याय और कूटनीतिक संतुलन का परिचय नहीं दिया, तो इसके दुष्परिणाम किसी एक क्षेत्र तक सीमित नहीं रहेंगे।
मौलाना महमूद असद मदनी ने कहा कि जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद हर उस कदम का विरोध करती है जो दुनिया को अमानवीय युद्ध और अस्थिरता की ओर धकेलता हो। उन्होंने कहा कि तत्काल युद्धविराम और बातचीत के माध्यम से विवादों का शांतिपूर्ण समाधान निकालना समय की सबसे बड़ी आवश्यकता है।
