Jamiat Delegation Meets District Administration over Action Against Madrasas in Shravasti, DM Orders Immediate Reopening of Several Madrasas
New Delhi, August 27: in response to the government’s action against religious madrasas in Shravasti, a delegation of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind today met with the district administration and strongly defended the religious institutions, demanding that the government stop harassing madrasas. Acting on the instructions of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind President Maulana Mahmood Madani, the delegation had yesterday met Minority Affairs Minister Danish Ansari. Today, the delegation held a detailed meeting with Shravasti District Magistrate Ajay Trivedi. The delegation was led by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind General Secretary Maulana Mohammad Hakimuddin Qasmi.
During the meeting, a constructive discussion was held on the educational, social, and constitutional role of madrasas. DM Trivedi attentively listened to the concerns of the delegation and assured that all registered madrasas would be reopened immediately, while the orders of the court would be followed with regard to other madarsas.
It is noteworthy that on August 21, 2025, the Allahabad High Court had ordered the reopening of 30 madrasas in Shravasti. Despite this, the local administration initiated a new round of questioning and, shockingly, even demolished the 64-year-old Madrasa Anwarul Uloom in Bangai Jamunha, in violation of the court’s directive. This act is not only an insult to constitutional values but also completely unacceptable.
Yesterday, Jamiat’s delegation had raised this matter with Minority Affairs Minister Danish Ansari. During that meeting, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind made it clear that the Jamiat stands as a shield for religious institutions, and any unlawful or arbitrary action taken out of religious prejudice is considered as an act against the nation itself.
Following the minister’s advice, today’s meeting was arranged with the DM and other officials. The meeting lasted over two hours and had a substantial impact on the officials, who immediately ordered the reopening of many madrasas. Among them was Jamia Ayesha Lilbanat, Rajpur Purona, Tehsil Jamunha in Shravasti, which was reopened this very evening. On this occasion, the Jamiat General Secretary and other delegation members were present at the madrasa. A prayer of gratitude was offered upon the reopening, and Madrasa head Maulana Abdul Manan Qasmi expressed his thanks to the Jamiat delegation.
The Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind delegation today included Hafiz Saeed Akhtar (Secretary, Jamiat Ulama UP), Maulana Abdul Manan Qasmi (General Secretary, Jamiat Ulama District Shravasti), Mufti Mohammad Salman Qasmi (Sitapuri), Maulana Abdur Raqeeb (Teacher, Madrasa Noorul Uloom Bahraich), Maulana Zaid (Teacher, Madrasa Noorul Uloom Bahraich), Maulana Firoz (Rampur Jabdi, Shravasti), Maulana Siddiq Akhtar (Madrasa Noorul Uloom Bahraich), Maulana Ashfaq (Shravasti), and Hafiz Taqiuddin.
श्रावस्ती में मदरसों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई पर जमीअत उलमा-ए-हिंद के प्रतिनिधिमंडल की जिला प्रशासन से मुलाकात, डीएम ने तुरंत कई मदरसों को खोलने का आदेश दिया
नई दिल्ली, 27 अगस्त:
श्रावस्ती में दीऩी मदरसों के खिलाफ सरकारी कार्रवाई के सिलसिले में जमीअत उलमा-ए-हिंद के प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने आज जिला प्रशासन से मुलाकात की और पूरे बल के साथ दीऩी संस्थाओं का बचाव करते हुए मांग की कि सरकार मदरसों को परेशान करना बंद करे। जमीअत उलमा-ए-हिंद के अध्यक्ष मौलाना महमूद असअद मदनी के निर्देश पर प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने कल अल्पसंख्यक मामलों के मंत्री दानिश अंसारी से भी भेंट की थी। आज प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने श्रावस्ती के डीएम अजय त्रिवेदी से विस्तारपूर्वक मुलाकात की। प्रतिनिधिमंडल का नेतृत्व जमीअत उलमा-ए-हिंद के महासचिव मौलाना मोहम्मद हकीमुद्दीन क़ासमी ने किया।
बैठक के दौरान मदरसों की शैक्षणिक, सामाजिक और संवैधानिक स्थिति पर सकारात्मक और रचनात्मक चर्चा हुई। डीएम त्रिवेदी ने प्रतिनिधिमंडल की बातों को गंभीरता से सुना और कहा कि जो मदरसे पंजीकृत हैं, उन्हें आज ही खोल दिया जाएगा। अन्य मदरसों के बारे में न्यायालय के आदेशों का पालन किया जाएगा।
यह उल्लेखनीय है कि 21 अगस्त 2025 को इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट ने श्रावस्ती के 30 मदरसों को फिर से खोलने का आदेश दिया था। इसके बावजूद स्थानीय प्रशासन ने सवालों का नया सिलसिला शुरू किया और यहां तक कि अदालत के आदेश के बावजूद 64 साल पुराने संस्थान मदरसा अनवारुल उलूम, जमुनहा को ध्वस्त कर दिया गया। यह कदम न केवल संवैधानिक मूल्यों का अपमान है बल्कि अस्वीकार्य भी है।
इसी शिकायत को लेकर कल जमीअत के प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने अल्पसंख्यक मंत्री दानिश अंसारी से मुलाकात की थी। मुलाकात में जमीअत उलमा-ए-हिंद ने स्पष्ट किया था कि जमीअत दीऩी संस्थाओं के लिए शीशे की दीवार की तरह है, जो किसी भी नाजायज़ या गलत तरीके से अथवा केवल धार्मिक संकीर्णता के आधार पर की गई कार्रवाई को देश के खिलाफ कार्रवाई मानती है।
इस मुलाकात के बाद मंत्री महोदय की सलाह से आज डीएम और अन्य अधिकारियों से जमीअत के प्रतिनिधिमंडल की बैठक तय हुई। यह बैठक दो घंटे से अधिक समय तक चली और अधिकारियों पर इसका गहरा प्रभाव पड़ा। उन्होंने तुरंत कई मदरसों को खोलने का आदेश दे दिया। इनमें श्रावस्ती स्थित जामिया आयशा लिलबनात, राजपुर पुरोना, तहसील जमुनहा का मदरसा भी शामिल है, जिसे आज शाम ही खोल दिया गया। इस अवसर पर जमीअत उलमा-ए-हिंद के महासचिव और प्रतिनिधिमंडल के अन्य सदस्य भी मदरसे में मौजूद रहे और इसके दोबारा खुलने पर अल्लाह के दरबार में दुआ की। मदरसे के मोहतमिम मौलाना अब्दुल मनान क़ासमी ने जमीअत के प्रतिनिधिमंडल का आभार व्यक्त किया।
आज जमीअत उलमा-ए-हिंद के प्रतिनिधिमंडल में हाफिज़ सईद अख्तर (सचिव, जमीअत उलमा-ए-यूपी), मौलाना अब्दुल मनान क़ासमी (महासचिव, जमीअत उलमा-ए-ज़िला श्रावस्ती), मुफ़्ती मोहम्मद सलमान क़ासमी (सीतापुरी), मौलाना अब्दुर रक़ीब (उस्ताद, मदरसा नूरुल उलूम बहराइच), मौलाना ज़ैद (उस्ताद, मदरसा नूरुल उलूम बहराइच), मौलाना फिरोज़ (रामपुर जब्दी, श्रावस्ती), मौलाना सिद्दीक़ अख्तर (मदरसा नूरुल उलूम, बहराइच), मौलाना अशफ़ाक़ (श्रावस्ती) और हाफिज़ तकीउद्दीन शामिल थे।
