Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind’s Two-Day Working Committee Meeting Begins
protection of madrasas, Uniform Civil Code and social reform top the agenda
New Delhi, 16 April: The two-day meeting of the Working Committee of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind commenced this afternoon at the organisation’s central office in New Delhi under the chairmanship of its national President, Maulana Mahmood Madani. Detailed deliberations are underway on important national, community, and organisational issues facing the country and the community.
At the outset of the meeting, the General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, Maulana Hakimuddin Qasmi, read out the minutes of the previous meeting. Following their confirmation, discussions on various important agenda items began in a phased manner.
The meeting is deliberating in detail on effective measures for the protection of madrasas, attempts to curtail constitutional rights in the name of the Uniform Civil Code, necessary measures for social reform, and the current situation in the Middle East.
In addition, in the light of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind’s long-standing and principled policy, the organisation’s clear and effective position on the issue of support for, and participation with, communal political parties in the country will also be articulated so as to provide guidance to its workers and members.

मदारिस की सुरक्षा, समान नागरिक संहिता, सामाजिक सुधार एवं अन्य महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों पर होंगे अहम फैसले
नई दिल्ली, 16 अप्रैल: जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद की कार्यकारिणी की दो दिवसीय महत्वपूर्ण बैठक आज दोपहर जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद के केंद्रीय कार्यालय, नई दिल्ली में अध्यक्ष मौलाना महमूद असद मदनी की अध्यक्षता में शुरू हुई। बैठक में देश और समुदाय के समक्ष उपस्थित महत्वपूर्ण राष्ट्रीय, सामुदायिक और संगठनात्मक मुद्दों पर विस्तृत विचार-विमर्श जारी है।
बैठक के प्रारंभ में जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद के महासचिव मौलाना हकीमुद्दीन कासमी ने पिछली कार्यवाही का वाचन किया। उसकी पुष्टि के बाद विभिन्न महत्वपूर्ण एजेंडों पर चरणबद्ध चर्चा का सिलसिला शुरू हुआ।
बैठक में मदारिस की सुरक्षा के लिए प्रभावी उपायों, समान नागरिक संहिता के नाम पर संवैधानिक अधिकारों को सीमित करने की कोशिशों, सामाजिक सुधार के लिए आवश्यक कदमों तथा मध्य पूर्व की वर्तमान स्थिति पर गंभीर विचार-विमर्श किया जा रहा है।
इसके अतिरिक्त देश में सांप्रदायिक राजनीतिक दलों के समर्थन और उनके साथ सहभागिता के मुद्दे पर जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद की पुरानी और सिद्धांत आधारित नीति की रोशनी में संगठन का स्पष्ट और प्रभावी रुख सामने लाया जाएगा, ताकि जमीयत से जुड़े कार्यकर्ताओं को उचित मार्गदर्शन मिल सके।
